I met Martin and Elizabeth, almost 40 year ago, on a working party organised by the late Eileen Clayton. We were warmly welcomed by them and my late husband Pete Arnold and I struck up a friendship with him from then. Martin was a dedicated supporter of the Ffestiniog Railway and a good friend. I have many fond memories of a truly lovely man.
